How to Get SEXY GLUTES!

This is the best exercise for your Glutes & Hams! It will tone, tighten, & lift your butt and give you the sexiest glutes and hamstrings in the world! 🙂
PLEASE be careful to do or try these if you have weak or bad lower backs!!! The flat back version might be better for you if any deadlifts at all!

When you do this exercise…
Make sure you round your back and head over, keep your legs straight and locked, pull from you glutes and hamstrings and not your low back, and don’t try to stretch down too far if you aren’t flexible.

If you are feeling the back of your knees, that means that you are forcing the stretch too much. Shorten your motion some.

If you are feeling your lower back, that means that you are rotating from your low back and not your hips/glute area. Stay rounded and remember you are squeezing your butt cheeks together to lift the weight.

Doing these 1-2 times per week will help give you SEXY HARD GLUTES!

Beginner lifters= 3 sets of 15-20 reps
Intermediate lifters= 3 sets of 30 reps
Advanced lifters= 5 sets of 25-30

*Remember if you are sore, that means you need to rest until you aren’t sore anymore!

Reno Fitness Trainer New Website Design!

Hi Everybody…
iStock_000007753181Small
I’ve been working on my website all weekend. I’ve had to re-design it because the computer that I had my website program on crashed about a month ago or so and I couldn’t get on it to update it, so I’ve had to download the program onto another computer and start all over!
The computer guy says it’s not worth fixing. 😦

Anyways, here is what my new website design will look like…

http://www.renofitnesstrainer.com/cliftanewindex.php

That’s just the link for now… eventually it will be at  www.RenoFitnessTrainer.com

All of the product links work so far, and my blog link, but none of the rest of the links are connected yet. I’ll hopefully get to that tomorrow.

Have a great day…

The Benefits of Weight Training

The Benefits of Weight Training

IMG_0089There are very many benefits which arise out of exercising.

The one benefit of weight training that I want to focus on includes helping a person to lose weight. This type of exercise is very effective for people seeking to lose weight permanently. Weight training helps a person increase the lean muscle which in turn increases the body metabolism.

When you have a high body metabolism the body is able to burn off more calories and therefore your weight will reduce. What you are seeking when training with weights is to increase your lean muscle mass and to reduce your body fat because when your lean mass increases, you lose body fat more quickly than if you just dieted alone.

So the most effective way to develop a lean, tight, hard body is to weight train, diet, and do your cardio together as a 3 tier approach. Although, even if you just added the weight training and didn’t change anything else in your regimen, your body would still change due to the higher metabolism that you get from your increased lean mass that you got from lifting weights.

Weight training exercises allow you to individually focus on each muscle in your body, and like an artist, allows you to shape it how you want it!

It can also help a person build extra mass. If you are seeking to increase body mass, like a bodybuilder, you need to include weight training daily. So for anyone seeking to do a bodybuilding contest or for men who just want to add a little extra size to their frame, you need to increase the intensity of your workouts on a daily basis and eat more food to accomplish this objective.

So don’t worry women… You won’t get big like a bodybuilder from lifting weights unless you are working out very intensely, eating lots of food, and really wanting to get bigger. Men get bigger easier than women because of the higher amounts of testosterone in their bodies. If you are working out with the intention of just toning and sculpting, that’s what you’ll get, along with the benefits of a higher metabolism and LESS FAT!

So lifting weights benefits Everyone… Male or female!

Fat Burning Workout #1 with 3 Different Levels

This is a great fat burning workout!

It’ll make you sweat, burn calories and fat, and get you lean all at the same time!

It’s a 15-20 minute workout depending on which level you do… beginner, intermediate, or advanced. It works your lungs, legs, glutes, chest, shoulders, triceps, and abs! Short, sweet, and to the point!

This is a workout that you can do 2-3 times per week. If your muscles do get sore from this workout and you are getting ready to do it again… I’d wait until the soreness goes away before you do it again. You always want to make sure that your muscles get plenty of healing time before you work them hard again.

The goal of this workout is to get as many rounds of the 5 exercises that you can in 20 minutes for the intermediate and advanced versions and in 15 minutes for the beginner version.

I got 3 rounds for the advanced version.

I would love to hear from you telling me what version you did and how many rounds you got.

Thank you,

Should we ban fast food near schools?

by… Kim Conte

A new study in California shows a strong link between teen obesity and the proximity of fast food restaurants to schools.

According to an article in the LA Times, the presence of a fast food chain like McDonald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut within walking distance of school (about 530 feet or less) resulted in a 5.2 percent increase in incidence of student obesity when compared with students attending schools not near restaurants.

OK, I know. Obesity can be caused by lots of things including genetics, lack of exercise, and nutrition, but some researchers believe that fast food proximity to schools is a contributing factor. I may have eaten Taco Bell from time to time back in the day. Those spots were a hangout because it was cheap, fast, and (as they say) close to the school.

But the rate of diabetes and heart disease among young people is growing, so this is serious. State and local governments in California (and across the country) have started to ban certain foods in schools including soda, junk food, trans fats, and even bake sales. Should they go ahead and ban the restaurants that serve this kind of stuff, too?

Some CafeMoms feel parents are the ones who should teach their kids good eating habits, so they would make the right choices.

Is it enough to teach nutrition at home and in schools? Should fast food be banned near schools? What do you think should be done?

Written for CafeMom’s Food & Party Buzz by Kim Conte

_______________

What do you all think?

Although I don’t have kids… if I did… I would think it’s my responsibility to teach them what’s healthy and what’s not! Otherwise trying to ban fast foods from school areas teaches the kids to blame someone else for their own mistakes. You can’t always go around blaming others… kids have to learn to be accountable for their actions and be responsible of their OWNSELVES!
