  1. I understand it’s never too late to get fit, but just turning 63 and am wondering the best way to get started.
    Thanks

  2. Hi Ellen…
I’m sorry it’s taken so long to get back to you on this.

    That’s great!

Have you worked out before or done anything physical in the last 2 years?

    If so… what?

If not… are you totally new to exercise?

    Thank you,
    Clifta

  3. About heavy benching, would you recommend
it for us gals who are .. um … top heavy? lol

Just don’t want to end up flat like most fbb’s.

    Cheers,

    Elena

  4. Hi Elena,

If you enjoy heavy benching and are not on a strict diet… I think it should be fine and can even help enhance the appearance of your chest.

The thing that makes your chest flat is from strict dieting, which causes you to lose bodyfat and that is what your breasts are…. just bodyfat. So if you are dieting and losing bodyfat… most women lose their breast size.

Mine would decrease when getting ready for a contest, but would come back in the off season.

I finally got implants, so that wouldn’t happen. I used to love to bench heavy, but now that I don’t compete I don’t bench heavy anymore. I only do upper chest exercises to get that pretty upper chest look.

    Hope this helps…

  5. Thanks!

Also, that was a good explanation about the
hinge in the chest. I didn’t understand why people always
said that a good bencher needs strong lats, but I think
    I can see why.

Do you think you could do a demo video of
how to incorporate the lats to help the benchpress?

    Thanks,

    Elena

  6. Also, I like your idea of having one exercise feeding into the next to get a good workout quickly. Just an aside on the video, you seem very confident and make really good eye contact with the camera.

You could also try being a little “over-animated”, because the camera actually waters down the delivery. In fact, actors have to “over-act” because of this.

You’ve in good shape, and you seem to know your stuff unlike a lot of other female fitness role-models on youtube. Give them a run for their money! πŸ™‚

  7. Thank you for all your comments!

I’m sure I can probably do that demo in the future. I have some other ones planned first.

    Thank you,
    Clifta

How can I keep loosing my BF ? I am current at 6% Upper abs are showing but low abs giving me a hard time …

    Give me some tips please.

  10. Hi,
Good job on your upper abs. Getting really lean and lowering your body fat comes from making your diet SUPER clean and manipulating your carbs.

  11. Hi my name is Vanessa and I am in the process of getting hired for a police department, and realize that I need to build more muscle. I saw your video on youtube and love how you dedicate so much into your body building career. I want to get started but I do not even know where to start. I don’t know if you have a book on your workout routine that I could purchase, and follow. Any kind of tips would help, and thank you so much for your time!
    Vanessa,

  12. Hi Vanessa….

I sent you an email. Did you get it? πŸ™‚

  13. How can I learn more about how much you train and what you eat etc…I run and go to anytime fitness but nothing like you. Even with what I do I have negitive thinking like..”will I be able to keep this up”? I want to combat all of this. Thanks!

  14. Hi Susanna,

Good job on your fitness routine. Sounds like you do well.

Yeah, the negative thinking does tend to creep in from time to time, but I think that is normal. Just have to ignore it and keep moving forward. Just be consistant… that’s important. Don’t stop… even if some workouts are not as strong or as long as others… that’s ok. You’re gonna have good days and bad days. The main thing is to always be active and do your best for that day.

Keep watching my youtube for more video tips… and also my site… http://www.phatphysiques.com (still in the process of re-doing)

I also want to make a member’s page that will give more info than what I might post on my site or facebook or youtube. πŸ™‚

    Take care,

  15. Hi, My name is Deatha and I am interested in competing in my first Figure competition ( Im 46) Im on a pertty good regimen regarding my exercise and diet. I need to lose about 5 or so more pounds and want to increase my gains and lose my stomach which has been really difficult. I was 180 and am down to 160.
My competition is in October ( theres one in July but I dont know if Ill be ready) but I need to build mass in my thighs. What is your regimen for your thighs and stomach and what would you suggest??
    Thanks!

  16. Hi Deatha,
    Good for you!
If all you need to lose is about 5 more pounds than you could make the July show.
    Where do you live?

My workouts always change so my body can’t get used to what I’m doing. For me… my workouts are different every time… for on-line clients I like to change up their workouts every 4-6 weeks.

I do in-person and also on-line contest prep if you need help?
Email me if you are interested in pricing… it’s very affordable.
    Thank you,
    Clifta
